Ubuntu is "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity." Derived from the profound Nguni Bantu term meaning "humanity," it is often translated as "I am because we are," or "humanity towards others."

Ubuntu is an indigenous philosophy from Africa grounded in humanistic values and principles of solidarity, kindness, cooperation, respect, and compassion.

The original song "Ubuntu" composed by Kora & Wuachuma gave life to a short film offering a mesmerizing visual narrative set against the breathtaking landscapes of West Africa in a coastal community of Ghana with local talent Roland Boakye acting as the main role alongside the involvement of a large amount of local participants who helped co-create a story of Ubuntu.

We are thankful for our talented friends from Québec Julian Thomas and Renaud Jacob who directed, filmed, and edited this cinematic journey of connection and evolution as the song became the soundtrack of a beautiful story of unity.

The video will be released on November 23, 2023.

We hope this project can help spread hope and remind us of our humanity and our interconnection.

We are thankful for Africa to be our teacher with so much to learn from it.

We thank everyone who contributed to this project, especially the community of Ghana who participated in the film with so much authenticity.
